What could be more fitting for ProRail’s traffic control centre in Utrecht than rust-coloured steel facades? Interspersed with glass, this creates an industrial and robust appearance. As a result, the station connects seamlessly with the surrounding rail network.

Because the fixed shading slats are flat on the north side of the building and increasingly steep towards the south side, they appear to be in motion when you pass the building by train.

Aldowa produced the Corten steel facade bands, wall panels and ceiling panels for the post. The facade bands are prepared as ready-to-assemble elements to reduce the lead time on the construction site.
