Façades that give you energy
Of course, you can create beautiful façades using aluminium, composite or steel. But how great would it be if the façade was not only visually significant, but also has significance for the climate and could give a return? A Solar Facade from Aldowa is made up entirely of bespoke solar panels, and can easily be combined with other materials for an optimal design.
What are the benefits of a Solar Facade?
Business case:
The façade is no longer a cost item, but generates a return.
Regulation:
The BENG standard stipulates that at least 50% of a building’s energy consumption must be generated sustainably in/on its own premises. In addition, offices must comply with at least energy label C.
Optimal use of materials:
Avoid using other façade materials by replacing them with solar panels. Where the available roof area is limited, the Solar Facade offers a solution.
Added value:
With a Solar Facade, you are ready for increasingly stringent sustainability requirements and it makes the building futureproof. Alongside increased comfort, a positive image and better aesthetics, it also increases the value of the building.
Sustainability goals:
A Solar Facade contributes to achieving a company’s sustainability goals and helps reduce carbon emissions in general.
Aesthetic options
A variety of aesthetic options are available if you opt for a Solar Facade. In addition to black, you can also opt for colours, patterns, or images with a glossy, matt or textured top layer. It is even possible to imitate traditional materials such as concrete, corten steel or bricks with a high degree of realism.
We like to work with the architect or designer to create the perfect design. Together, we combine architecture, functionality and sustainability in a unique landmark.
Turnkey
Aldowa ensures perfect integration of the Solar Facade into the façade. With our expert knowledge, we work with the architect and client to ensure not only the ideal composition, but also optimum yield. We provide the design, installation and electrical connection of the Solar Facade. We can also provide inverter configurations, string plans and yield calculations if required. Naturally we ensure that everything is installed in accordance with Scope 12.
Performance
The output of a Solar Facade is determined by many factors such as cell type, colour, fill factor of the solar cells in the panel, internal losses, and the type and thickness of the glass. As a result, the output can range from approx. 100Wp/m2 to as much as 220Wp/m2. In addition to the output, the actual yields are also determined by orientation, slope, shading, pollution, and string and inverter losses. Aldowa’s specialists know all about this and are keen to contribute their ideas.
