Our passion is to create the most beautiful landmarks, but without unnecessarily burdening the environment. Aldowa offers circular façade solutions that enable our clients to develop buildings that meet the highest ambitions in terms of circularity and sustainability. We bring these together into Aldowa Green.

R&D
We are investing heavily in research into sustainable façade solutions. We bring the results of this together in Aldowa Green, which includes products such as our Solar Facade and Solar Thermal Facade.

Energy
Our premises are equipped with hundreds of solar panels. We also use a heat pump to heat the building.

Supply Chain
We optimise our supply chain and minimise carbon emissions throughout the chain. This enables us to select materials with a low carbon footprint, such as aluminium produced using hydropower. We also minimise our water use and filter our wastewater. With our partners and suppliers, we are working towards a circular (materials) chain: Reuse – Repair – Remanufacture – Recycle.

Transport
By combining and optimising shipments we reduce the number of transport movements. In addition, Aldowa is working towards an all-electric fleet.

Waste
By making the best use of sheet material, we limit residual waste from production. We reuse packaging from our suppliers for our own shipments. The entire company, from office to production, is virtually paperless.

Materials
When we create a design, we minimise material use and eliminate non-recyclable materials wherever possible. Aldowa does not use materials that are harmful to people or the environment. We use only high-quality materials, which are maintenance-free and have a long lifespan. Our main products, aluminium and aluminium composite, are almost completely recyclable.
Cradle to Cradle Bronze
Since September 2025, our fully enclosed aluminium ventilated façade system has been Cradle to Cradle Bronze certified. This allows us to offer façade builders and the construction industry a sustainable alternative that is relevant both today and in the future. For Aldowa, sustainability goes beyond certification; it is part of our strategy, responsibility and identity.
When it comes to metal façade solutions, we believe in freedom of choice. That is why we are building a broad portfolio, from solid aluminium to multiple variants with a demonstrable sustainable impact. This allows façade builders and architects to choose solutions that suit their design, their project and their sustainability ambitions.
