St James W Hotel

For the iconic St James W Hotel in Edinburgh, Aldowa, in collaboration with Octatube, designed an impressive stainless steel façade. The ribbon-shaped design with undulating lines and complex geometry makes this building unique. The façade consists of segmented panels that seamlessly follow the curves, while the interior balustrades are clad in aluminium panels.

Of particular note is the transition from metal to glass balustrades, which required extra precision and craftsmanship. All parts were manufactured in our production hall in Rotterdam, combining precision and innovation to create this modern landmark in the middle of historic Edinburgh.
