DSM DELFT

A new DSM-Firmenich building is springing up on the Biotech Campopus in Delft. It will house the head office and laboratories of the Taste, Texture & Health division. Owner and investor of the property is ASR Dutch Science Park Fund.

In addition to solar panels on the flat roof, all facades of the main volume, as well as the roof structure, will be equipped with Solar Facade customised solar panels from Saint Gobain. In total, this is a BIPV system of 1830m2 with a capacity of 350kWp.

For builder de Vries en Verburg, Aldowa will install the PV panels in the facade and make the electrical connections up to the inverter. Of course, this will also include all typesetting and aluminium cladding to complete the facade.

The building is being developed with a strong focus on energy efficiency and will meet the highest sustainability standard, namely BREEAM Outstanding. The well-being of employees and their health are key, and this is confirmed by the award of the Well Platinum certificate.
