When you enter the Markthal in Rotterdam, your eyes will likely be glued to the overwhelmingly beautiful ceiling. It’s like walking into a modern-day Sistine Chapel. The liveliness of the Markthal, a combination of market, living and restaurants, is the perfect backdrop for this ceiling. 4500 sublimated panels make up this iconic world-class decoration. Never before had such an impressive ceiling of such dimensions (9000 m2) been realised. Aldowa applied the old sublimation technique for this particular project. This prestigious project has deservedly won several awards.
