In our industry, nothing is more important than safety. It is the foundation of our daily work and our craftsmanship. That is why we spent the entire week focusing on our current safety policy and how we can improve it. By remaining focused on the details in the workshop and on the construction site, we can continue to carry out even the most complex projects responsibly. It was a busy but effective week, with several key points:

Launch of safety mascot Safety Sam

To literally give our fight for safe working practices a hand and a foot, Aldowa now has a safety mascot: Safety Sam! You will be seeing Sam more often from now on. Welcome to the club, Sam!

Visit construction sites Amsterdam en Alblasserdam

After a safety breakfast with our engineers and management, site visits were carried out. Our new safety poster, featuring Aldowa’s “Ten Commandments of Safety”, was distributed during these visits. The Ensemble and Brinktoren construction sites in Amsterdam and the Molenhoek project in Papendrecht were visited extensively during this educational week.

Safety inspection rounds in the factory

During extensive inspections, our own working environment was thoroughly examined. Safety in the factory and office was assessed in groups. Where can we further improve safety? In addition to several interesting insights, this provided valuable input for the internal safety poster.

Workshops and assignments

An EBHO workshop, an evacuation drill and an internal safety session with poster maker Visueeltjes were all part of the agenda for not only all colleagues in the office, but also those in the production hall. The end result, in addition to a wealth of knowledge, was a beautiful internal safety poster that we will enjoy for years to come.

We look back on a successful and effective week! Watch the aftermovie here.
