Werf Koning William is located on the Hoogte Kadijk in Amsterdam. An iconic residential and commercial project on the exact spot where ships were launched from the slipways starting in the 17th century.
Commissioned by HBB Groep, we engineered, manufactured, and installed the complete Corten steel facade cladding. The facade is composed of panels in a random pattern, where every panel is unique. The eye-catchers are the rounded corners: rolled and welded at a level of expertise that few facade builders master. Corten steel is a solid, bold choice of material here that refers to shipbuilding and only grows more powerful under the influence of the weather.
The design by &Prast&Hooft Architects and BLVG Development demanded extreme precision. The result is a raw, high-quality facade that gives this historic location a new face.
